The Puzzle: Starting Call (Chapter 1)

It was a usual and relaxed summer saturday. Maya and Allan were sitting on the couch watching some TV. The sun from outside was like burning hell invading earth,and it's rays striked through their windows. They both were sighing from the heat but they were too lazy to pull the curtains down. Allan was getting pretty annoyed.
"Sis,can you please put the curtains down.. you're closer to them",Allan said squinting his eyes from the strenght of the rays.
"Ok bro,but only just because I can't stand it either" Maya said,getting up and heading towards the window.

There wasn't  much for them to do. Ever since they retired from their paranormal activities,their spent time was pretty much like this. When the temperature was pretty high,they'd stay in and cool themselfs off. On normal occasions,they would go out with friends or do their own things. Allan and Maya were always pretty close. Both of them shared a love for horror and they strongly believed in the power of it. They've seen a lot of things,some of them scared them for life. Last time they went to a haunted place in Miami,they saw vivid images in their minds. The ghosts were trying to attack them,posses them and it took them a lot of time to recover from it. But the truth is,they always had some kind of speciality. Only they could see an another dimension and talk with what a human eye can't catch. It was such a long time ago,and they were 16 when it happened but still,they never went back.

Scrolling the channels,Allan was getting bored. He kept scrolling until he found what he found apealling and put the remote down. He took a bottle of water and leaned his back against the couch.
"Shocking truth... everybody who saw this house got attracted to it's exterior but they get stuck in the interior. That's right. We believe this house is haunted since nobody came back from it. Even the paranormal doctors refuse to go there,saying there's nothing to be done". Maya and Allan sat there in disbelief,eyes widend at the information.
"It is impossible for us to enter this house. The ghost cannot be summoned. Only the ones who believe can reach them" said Martha Mayers,the paranromal detective.
"You heard it guys,so spooky. Better not go down to Louisiana,road 25. This was Bryan Reed for Hot Minute,stay aware".

Allan turned off the TV. He looked over at his sister and started laughing histerically.
"O..m..g these guys are totally trolling. Get lost in the interrior,a house in a middle of a swamp. This is a prank 100%" Allan said trough laughter and his sister laughed along.
" This is so wack. And she was like only the ones who believe can go there,like it's a church or something". Maya said in a high pitched voice influenced with laughter.

The bro and sis laughed for a while but they knew that this is tickling their attention.
"Hey,maybe we should check it out, it's probbably a joke." Allan said to Maya sounding quite intrigued.
"Well as much as I laughed, you know us. This sounds real. If you think about it,it sounds like it needs us,we believe" Maya said insecurely.
Allan looked at her for a while. He put his hands together and bit his lip. Confused,he didn't know what to do.
"You are right. But is it a good idea, what if it actually needs us? We are stronger now I think we can take it,what do you say?" Allan asked his sister in a concerned voice.
"Hahah...let's do it" Maya responded in a dramatic way. God knows what was going through their minds.
"What about mom and dad?" Allan asked her.
"We'll say that we're going camping with friends". Maya said and Allan agreed with her. They both went to pack what they needed for their trip.

Probbably,they were setting for the biggest adventure of their lifes,and they weren't even aware of the plot that is ahead of them.
